D$ are only redeemable at GHA DISCOVERY hotels on eligible purchases and transactions. We offer a wide variety of ways you can spend your D$ at our hotels, but trade-ins or cash reimbursements are not included.

When you are earning and spending DISCOVERY Dollars (D$) in a currency other than U.S. Dollars, we convert the non-U.S. Dollar currency amount at our selected exchange rate. This may be the foreign exchange rate used by the hotel or another rate and may not be the same rate used for currency conversion on your final bill.

It takes approximately 48 hours after your stay has concluded for DISCOVERY Dollars (D$) to be applied to your account when applicable. At that time, your earnings will be reflected on your member dashboard on ghadiscovery.com and the GHA DISCOVERY mobile app.

During a stay
If your DISCOVERY Dollars (D$) are incorrectly applied to your bill during a stay, please consult with the front desk associate at the hotel as soon as possible. If the issue is addressed on the departure date, the hotel will reverse the transaction and apply your alternate payment. If your departure date has passed, please contact the hotel directly for assistance.

Outside of a stay
First, please log into your account and confirm the expiration date of the missing D$.

If the D$ were not set to expire, please create a ticket. Please include

• Your member number (this can be found on your member dashboard, on your digital membership card, or at the top of any GHA DISCOVERY email communications)

• Your first and last name

• The amount that is missing

• The stay dates during which the D$ were earned (if possible)

It is possible to have DISCOVERY Dollars (D$) with varying expiration dates in your account at one time because the expiry dates on your D$ are set at the time you earn them. The expiry dates for previously earned D$ do not change when you advance membership levels, earn more D$ or participate in promotions.

No credit toward status and no DISCOVERY Dollars (D$) will be given for "no show" situations when you have made a guaranteed reservation with a credit card but then do not check in, whether or not your credit card is charged for all or any portion of the reserved stay.

 If you didn’t earn DISCOVERY Dollars (D$) on your stay, please check that your booking was eligible to earn D$. There are several rate types that do not qualify for D$ earning, such as:

• Third party online travel agency rates, such as expedia.com, booking.com, hotels.com, orbitz.com, priceline.com, travelocity.com, etc. (except the first stay)

• Tours series rates/charters

• Airline employee, airline crew rates

• Travel agent employee rates

• Complimentary stays including redeeming prize/gift vouchers

If you booked one of these rates, you are not eligible to earn D$ on your room rate or any additional purchases made during your stay, unless it is your joining stay. If you didn’t earn D$ on your additional spend at a hotel that was booked on an eligible rate, it may be because the services and/or outlets you used were not eligible to earn D$.

This promotion only applies to your joining stay (first stay) with us. After that, we recommend booking with us at ghadiscovery.com, on the GHA DISCOVERY mobile app or directly with one of our hotel brands to ensure you enjoy recognition, earn membership credit and D$ for your stay, and are eligible to spend your D$ toward your stay.

There are tons of ways for you to spend your DISCOVERY Dollars (D$). Simply apply your selected D$ amount to your bill at check-out as a form of payment. Please note, D$ transactions must be for a minimum of D$10.

D$ can be applied toward your room, room upgrades, late check-out, dining, spa treatments, golf usage fees, Experiences or other eligible costs you incur during any of your stays at hotels in the GHA DISCOVERY collection. However, they cannot be applied toward ineligible spend, such as taxes, tips, fees, and rates booked through Online Travel Agents and Wholesalers.

Another great thing about DISCOVERY Dollars (D$) is that there is no limit on how much you can spend. You can use your D$ to cover all eligible costs on your hotel bill. This does not include taxes and fees.

DISCOVERY Dollars (D$) can be used toward eligible bookings made online with GHA DISCOVERY or directly with any of our hotel brands when the final payment will be made at the hotel during the stay.

If you have booked and paid in advance of your stay, you won’t be able to apply D$ during your online checkout, but you can still use them toward other eligible costs incurred during your stay by applying them toward your bill upon checkout at the hotel.

You can start spending your DISCOVERY Dollars (D$) as soon as they arrive in your account. Please note, D$ transactions must be for a minimum of D$10.
