The status upgrade promotion (the “Promotion”) is a limited-time offer available to Gold GHA DISCOVERY Members who have been invited to participate in the Promotion (“Eligible GHA DISCOVERY Members”). Members whose status with GHA DISCOVERY at the time of this Promotion is not Gold and who have not received the invitation to participate will not be considered eligible for this Promotion (“Non-eligible GHA DISCOVERY Members”). The Promotion is not transferable, meaning Eligible Members cannot purchase a status upgrade for another member.
The Promotion is valid from 9 April 2026 until 30 April 2026 (“Promotional Period”), both dates inclusive, during which Gold-tier Eligible Members can purchase a Platinum GHA DISCOVERY status. The new status's validity after the purchase will be 31 December 2027.
In addition to the status purchase, Eligible GHA DISCOVERY Members will receive a DISCOVERY Dollar gift (“D$ Gift”) according to their transaction. The promotional D$ are valid for 12 months from the date of awarding. DISCOVERY Dollars are a reward currency; they are not a legal currency in any territory and do not have any intrinsic value. D$ can be used towards the payment of stay charges at any GHA DISCOVERY hotel, with each D$ being equivalent to a credit of USD 1 against the stay charges. D$ cannot be redeemed on ineligible charges, such as rates booked through an Online Travel Agent or Wholesaler. D$ cannot be exchanged for cash. The offer is not available to members resident in restricted countries.
The status purchase transactions are hosted on a partner platform, Points.com. The transaction and payment processing Terms and Conditions are available here. Once successfully submitted, the Eligible Member will receive a transaction confirmation email immediately. Status upgrade purchases cannot be reversed or refunded.
The D$ Gift will be reflected on the Eligible Member’s GHA DISCOVERY account immediately after purchase. The status upgrade will be reflected on the Eligible Member’s GHA DISCOVERY account within ten (10) business days from the transaction date. Global Hotel Alliance may modify or withdraw this Promotion at any time in its sole discretion and has the right to decline this Promotion in case of any breach of its Terms and Conditions or the GHA DISCOVERY programme rules.
