"Kalu Yaka" with "Gini Sisila" is a traditional cultural performance that is believed to wear off demons and evil spirits, bringing a blessing to spectators. It compromises a man dressed as a demon, depicting one of the major demons as per the Sri Lankan folklore. You will also see a man blowing fire out of his mouth, spreading fire throughout his body, and finally blowing off the fire torch by gulping it from his mouth. During the performance, a professional drummer will conduct low country drumming and chanting traditional poems in the soft country style.
